PaygOps at GOGLA Global Off-Grid Solar Forum & Expo 2024 - After-Movie & Highlights

The GOGLA Global Off-Grid Solar Forum and Expo (GOGSFE24), held in Nairobi from October 8-10, proved to be an inspiring and impactful event for PaygOps and the entire off-grid solar industry.

Bringing together over a thousand industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators, "the premier meeting in the sector" served as a dynamic platform to celebrate achievements while addressing critical challenges in off-grid solar (OGS). According to the latest Off-Grid Solar Market Trends Report (MTR) released during the event, "off-grid solar is the most cost-effective solution to power 41% of those projected to be without energy access by 2030, -potentially- impacting 400M lives". Yet, access to finance persists as a formidable barrier, especially for small and mid-sized companies, with an estimated USD $21 billion needed to reach OGS' full potential.

On a more personal note, GOGSFE24 offered unique opportunities for the PaygOps team to reconnect with our esteemed partners, showcase our latest innovations, exchange ideas, and explore strategic collaborations that can drive further energy access in underserved regions.

As a fourth-time attendee and a key software provider in the Pay-As-You-Go (Paygo) sector, PaygOps was particularly focused on discussions around digital transformation and financial inclusion, in collaboration with our sister brand, Bridgin. The event’s focus on scalable technology resonated deeply with our commitment to delivering flexible solutions for streamlined service management, data analytics, and operational efficiency.

Through workshops and panel discussions, the forum emphasised the critical role of data-driven insights, seamless customer experiences, and effective asset management—areas where PaygOps is proud to lead. This event provided the ideal setting to demonstrate how our full ERP platform and comprehensive Microservices reduce operational complexities for solar distributors, tailoring to their unique needs and ultimately making energy access more affordable for end-users.

The event underscored the industry's urgent need for sustainable financing, innovative business models, and policy frameworks that foster a more inclusive energy ecosystem. Both PaygOps and Bridgin are now more committed than ever to delivering flexible, interoperable, and impactful solutions that enable last-mile providers to expand their reach, reduce customer acquisition costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
