Solaris Offgrid at GOGLA Forum & Expo 2022 Highlights
The Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda served as the perfect setting to host this year's premier meeting in the offgrid solar sector: the Global Off-Grid Solar Forum & Expo (hosted by GOGLA and Lighting Global), where manufacturers, last-mile distributors, investors, policy makers and other stakeholders gathered, from October 18th until the 20th, to discuss ways to reinforce our ultimate common goal: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all (SDG7).
Solaris Ofgfrid, a 6-year long GOGLA member and 3rd time attendee at the expo, took the opportunity this time around to consolidate our leadership in the industry, demonstrating how, in less than a decade, we've come to impact the lives of 2 million people so far, by streamlining life-changing products and essential services through flexible IT Solutions (PaygOps, Custom Workflows), Fintech and Product Development Services. And to give a glimpse of where our innovative spirit is headed, we showcased disruptive solutions such as the Receivables Purchase Platform and the Solaris Offgrid Smart Battery.
As it was expected, we strengthened synergies with renowned partners and multilateral organisations, and so we believed it was the perfect time for us to unveil an exciting partnership with German research and development institute A2EI, who recently adopted the OpenPAYGO Token to make their devices Paygo and unlock further access to energy in Sub-Saharan Africa (read the complete announcement here).
At large, it was a truly memorable experience for our different teams to reunite with partners in person, get inspired by the different sessions and shake hands at the long awaited event. We are honoured to be working among such impactful organisations and we reaffirm our commitment to help the off-grid solar industry move forward and keep unlocking energy and essential services for those who need it the most.
We'd like to thank GOGLA, and partners present at the expo, such as: BioLite, Sun King, SPARK, ZOLA, A2EI, The EnAccess Foundation, for their contribution to our different activities, and extend our thanks as well to our 40+ partners across all industries who we have the pleasure to work alongside and support.
Until the next expo! 👋🏾
